Manchester United Shift Their Attention From Bruno Fernandes To This ÂŁ30m Newcastle Midfielder

Manchester United Shift Their Attention From Bruno Fernandes To This ÂŁ30m Newcastle Midfielder

Manchester United are confident of making Sean Longstaff their third signing of the summer after Rafel Benitez’s exit from Newcastle United.

The midfielder broke into the Magpies squad last season and made 11 consecutive starts. A knee injury in Marce got him sidelined for the rest of the campaign but he did enough to impress the Red Devils scouts.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has adopted a new recruitment policy at Old Trafford where he looks for young and hungry talents instead of expensive stars who will be far too difficult to mould. Following that policy, he has brought in a 21-year-old Daniel James from Swansea City and is about to finalise the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Longstaff has been vocal about staying with Newcastle for longer but United are convinced they can steal him away. The Metro claims that signing Longstaff will cost the Red Devils ÂŁ30m even though they did not plan on going higher than ÂŁ25m before.

Solskjaer is looking for an Ander Herrera-replacement as the Spaniard closes in on completing his free move to Paris Saint-Germain. Longstaff is still very young and has shown the pedigree to grow into a starring role.

This is the latest direction Manchester United are on. They are more interested in bringing in Longstaff than paying out £60-70m for Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United Eye 30-Goal Frenchman To Replace Lukaku With

Manchester United Eye 30-Goal Frenchman To As Lukaku Replacement

Manchester United have already picked their replacement for Romelu Lukaku, should the Belgian leave for Inter Milan this summer.

The Red Devils want to sign Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla. His release clause is reported to be worth around £40m which would be nearly half of what United stand to make off of Lukaku’s sale.

Ben Yedder left a lasting impression on the United fans when he scored the winning goal in the Champions League round of 16 tie last year. His impressive 30-goal bout this past campaign has also added to his market value.

Lukaku, on the other hand, has struggled to hit his best form since making the ÂŁ90m switch from Everton 2 years back. He also saw his game time get reduced dramatically upon the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian boss prefers the pacey and more nimble feet of Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial in the number nine position rather than the burly 26-year-old. Lukaku is not too pleased with his reduced role and is looking to play under Antonio Conte at the San Siro.

United are set to make a total squad overhaul this summer but has so far only signed Daniel James from Swansea City. They already have a large enough transfer budget to attract the biggest names but selling off Lukaku might accelerate the transfer process.

Manchester United Agree ÂŁ50m Fee For Top Grade English Defender

Manchester United Agree ÂŁ50m Fee For Top Grade English Defender

Sky Sports claims that Crystal Place defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka visited the Manchester United facilities to undergo his first medical.

Both clubs have agreed on a ÂŁ50m transfer fee for the Englishman but personal negotiations are yet to be completed.

The Red Devils will initially have to pay out ÂŁ45m to the Eagles and then ÂŁ5m through add-on clauses. Wan-Bissaka flew to Manchester on Wednesday complete the first part of his physical test.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has targetted the 21-year-old in his efforts to completely revamp the United backline next season. The right-back has been a problematic position ever since the consistent Antonio Valencia’s age caught up to him.

Ashley Young has filled in when required and so has Diogo Dalot but neither of the two is capable of handling the weight of a starting right-back role at Old Trafford. Dalot is a nice young piece who has shown brilliant abilities going forward but his game still needs to develop.

Wan-Bissaka has been outstanding these past two seasons in the Premier League and is about to become United’s fifth-most expensive signing ever.

He is very good at keeping position and is very vigilant at the back, exactly the type of player United needs to stiffen up that leaky backline while also providing some options down the right.

Romelu Lukaku to Inter seems to be on.

The player had earlier expressed his interest to play in Italy’s Serie A. He had also said he believed Antonio Conte to be one of the best coaches in the world, the current boss of Inter Milan.

Now his agent has fueled those rumors further by saying that the player wants to leave United and talks are underway amongst all three parties.

“Lukaku has made it clear what he wants and we’ll see what happens later on,” he said.

“It’s a dream for Inter and those are normally difficult to realise, but nothing is impossible.”

“I think there’s a chance he could sign for Inter,” he assured.

“There’s a little bit of distance between the clubs but let’s hope we can resolve that.”

Lukaku joined the club back in 2016 when he was signed for a record fee by Manchester United. However, he has been inconsistent with his form in front of goal and Inter Milan could be a new start for him.

Rumors have it that Inter chiefs are ready to exchange their star striker Mauro Icardi for Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United pull out of Harry Maguire transfer due to Leicester’s demands

Manchester United have exited the race to sign Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire due to the club’s high demands.

According to the Mirror, Leicester City are demanding ÂŁ90 million plus ÂŁ10 million in add-ons for Maguire. However, Manchester United are refusing to meet Leicester City’s demands for the defender who was valued at ÂŁ60 million when the club were interested in signing him.

Harry Maguire may not be playing in one of Europe’s top clubs but his performances have made him one of the finest centre-backs in Europe. Maguire followed a fine World Cup with impressive performances at the back for Leicester City as they beat the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur during the 2018/19 Premier League.

With Manchester United pulling out, the coast seems clear for Manchester City to sign Maguire. With Vincent Kompany departing the club, City need a top quality centre-back and Pep Guardiola feels Maguire is the ideal partner for Aymeric Laporte in the club’s central defence.

However, it’s yet to be seen if City are willing to meet Leicester City’s demand of ÂŁ90 million and add-ons which would make Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in the world.

Some reports suggested that Manchester City were willing to pay ÂŁ65 million for Maguire.

If Leicester City have set a price-tag of ÂŁ100 million on Harry Maguire, it seems very unlikely that that price will lower. Leicester City have proven themselves to be very firm negotiators and if Manchester City or any other club want to sign Harry Maguire, they will have to meet the Leicester City’s demands.

Gary Neville has said that United needs players who will play for the badge.

“I’d like to think players would see beyond that in terms of what this club can do and how big it is and what it will do in the future,” he told Sky Sports.

“If a player is going to choose a club based on the fact they’re not in the Champions League for one season, I would say they’re not the right player for the club.

“You want players to come to United to put the club back where it belongs, which is at the very top.”

“It’s difficult to do business, it’s not easy. Everyone knows Manchester United want players and price tags will go up,” Neville added.

“You’ve got to try and encourage players to come to the club. Players don’t just jump to sign for any club – they do their homework and get their agents to get to work.

“They probably have 50 meetings before they sign for a club nowadays. Manchester United will be in the pit with the rest of the sharks looking for the big signings.

“It’s difficult for all clubs they all want the same players. They all want Harry Maguire, every single club wants him. Everybody wants Christian Eriksen.

“Players that are being bandied about, there are four or five clubs in for them. They aren’t just going to sign for the first club, they’ll choose wisely and look at the different aspects.

“Manchester United have got a big job to do in order to get a squad right for a championship challenge. Hopefully that’ll start this summer but it’s not just bringing players in, it’s about getting some out.”

According to reports from Goal, Manchester United are on the brink of signing Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the 21-year old is set to undergo a medical at the club.

Following England’s group-stage exit at the U21 European Championship in Italy, Wan-Bissaka will arrive at Manchester’s training arena in Carrington.

Wan-Bissaka was one of the finest right-backs of the Premier League last season. His performances for Crystal Palace attracted attention from several clubs, notably Manchester United and Arsenal.

Right now, Manchester United are in dire need of some new reinforcements and already have one new player in Daniel James.

The club has followed Wan-Bissaka very closely and is now on the verge of signing him for ÂŁ55 million.

With Ashley Young performing poorly last season, Manchester United need a quality right-back and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is just the type of player they need.

DEAL AGREED: Manchester United To Announce Signing Of Right Winger

Manchester United have agreed a ÂŁ600,000 transfer fee for Real Zaragoza wonderkid, Matteo Mejia.

The 16-year-old has been wooed by many clubs in Europe for the past year but the Red Devils managed to see out all the competition, both from the Premier League and other top clubs.

Mejia is primarily a right winger, a position that United have been desperately trying to upgrade for the past 5 years now. Of course, the teenager will come into the Old Trafford and make appearances for the club’s youth side but he can hope to break into the senior side soon enough.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has abandoned United’s old transfer strategy of signing only star athletes. That his why he went ahead and completed a £15m deal for yet another rising talent, Daniel James.

With the transfer budget provided to him by Ed Woodward, the Norwegian plans on upgrading the entire Red Devils squad to spearhead them to Champions League football next season. Like Alex Ferguson, Solskjaer has put an emphasis on signing young talent who can be moulded into United’s ambitious mentality and process of doing things.

Mejia will join a long line of talented youth personnel at the club who are just vying for a spot in the senior side. The club’s academy graduates who successfully broke their way into the first XI are Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.

Manchester United eager to swap Inter striker for Lukaku

0

According to reports from the Express, Manchester United are eager to send Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan but in return for Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

There are several reports linking Lukaku to a move to Inter Milan. Antonio Conte wants the Belgian at Milan and the striker has reportedly agreed to a €180,000 a week contract.

Romelu Lukaku is reportedly out of favor under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he did not have the best of seasons in 2018/19. Following an impressive World Cup where he scored 4 goals, Lukaku netted only 15 goals in 45 appearances for Manchester United.

However, the fact that Lukaku is scoring at a prolific rate for Belgium is enough to prove that he still is a world-class striker and Antonio Conte wants him at Inter Milan.

By getting Lukaku, Inter could also get rid of MAuro Icardi who fell out of favor during the last few months of the 2018/19 season.

Icardi established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the world thanks to his performances at Inter Milan. However, a goal-drought in December diminished his form.

Nevertheless, Mancheter United are keen to have Icardi in their squad.

Why Sanchez fails to perform only for Manchester United

Why Sanchez fails to perform only for Manchester United
Bildbyran

Alexis Sanchez has had a case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde.

Ever since his move to Manchester United, it felt like the beast of Arsenal went missing and instead out turned an amateur footballer who did not do anything right.

Multiple injuries, missing open chances, misplacing the ball every time, Sanchez made Old Trafford grow frustrated pretty quickly. What made it happen even faster was that he is on a record salary at the club and hence the expectations on his shoulders are huge.

However, at Chile, he has been performing brilliantly. He has been one of their best players consistently and this time as well, he has done really well for the national team and his Chile boss has reasoned it to the player feeling more loved at the Chile camp than the club.

“He has the motivation, affection and some relationships that he has in the national team and maybe he didn’t have them in Manchester,” Rueda said after Chile moved into the quarter-finals.

“He arrived at a difficult, inopportune moment, perhaps in the most unbalanced United in recent years.”

Well this will surely not go down well at United and things cannot get much worse there either.
