Manchester United urged to sign Croatian star

The player has been one of the stand out players in the World Cup

Manchester United were interested in signing Inter Milan’s winger Ivan Perisic last summer as Jose Mourinho wanted a natural wide player in the squad. But they couldn’t convince the Italian side to sell him as they were demanding £50 million which was deemed too costly and eventually the interest dropped.

The Croatia International featured regularly for the Serie A giants last season, scoring 11 goals and assisted 9 in 37 league games and helped his team to finish in the top four.

The 29 year old has been one of the standout players for his team in this year’s World Cup and helped his team to reach the semi-finals, where they will face England.

Former Liverpool ace Igor Biscan insists that Perisic is still good enough for the Red Devils and urged them to make a move on him.

“It says a lot about a player when Jose Mourinho wants to sign them,” he told BetStars as quoted by Express.

“Ivan Perisic certainly has enough quality to play there [at Manchester United]. Similarly to Rebic, he is very direct, very strong and he can score goals with both feet.

“He provides guaranteed quality and it wouldn’t take much for him to adapt his game to the Premier League.”

“Croatia’s attacking-minded players will be a real handful,” he added.
