Fred will join Turkish side Fenerbahce on a four-year contract.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been sold to Fenerbahce in a deal worth just under £13million.
The manager told him that he would struggle to play a significant role during the season following Mason Mount’s arrival from Chelsea.
He fell down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer.
Fred has gone on to make 213 appearances for the club across all competitions scoring 14 goals in the process.
