Sancho is the second Man United player who moved to Germany this season for a loan outing.
As expected, Man United have released Jadon Sancho and allowed him to sign a loan deal with his former club, Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season 2023-24.
The Englishman will make a comeback for the Bundesliga giants since making a permanent move to United in the summer of 2021. Man United invested £73m for his services in the summer.
Man United issued a statement which reads, “Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season. The England international of 23 caps leaves with our best wishes for the remainder of this season.”

Sancho was terrific for Dortmund during his previous spell, scoring 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games. The 23-year-old didn’t replicate the same at Old Trafford. He managed only 12 goals and six assists from 82 games across all competitions.
Sancho was also not regular at Man United due to his tussle with Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman didn’t consider him in the first-team squad. He last played a competitive match in August 2023.
Jadon Sancho addressed fans with a short video message on Dortmund’s social media channels, saying: “Hello BVB fans, it’s Jadon here. I just want to say Happy New Year, I’m so glad to be back and I can’t wait to get started. See you soon and take care.”
Sancho is the second Man United player who moved to Germany for a loan outing. Donny van de Beek will also spend the rest of the season with Eintracht Frankfurt.
