Manchester United have officially signed a new deal with Joe Hugill until 2026. The young talent hasn’t appeared for the first-team squad. However, he remains part of the squad on four occasions this season.

He was also included in the Champions League on two occasions. The 20-year-old was an unused substitute against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup. He has impressed Erik ten Hag during training sessions.

There were some reports that he would leave the club on loan during the winter window. He has now signed a new contract with the club. His contract also has the option of an additional 12 months.

Club’s official website reads, “Joe Hugill has signed a new contract with Manchester United. The striker has agreed fresh terms that will run until 2026, with the option of a further year.”

“He has developed well this season and trained regularly with the first team, while being on the bench four times, including for Monday night’s Emirates FA Cup third-round victory at Wigan Athletic.”

The forward has been in good touch in Premier League 2 this season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in nine appearances.
