Manchester United secured a comfortable 2-0 win against Wigan last night.

Erik ten Hag’s squad had a miserable end to 2023 losing their final game 2-1 away at Nottingham Forest.

The Dutch manager has come under immense scrutiny as all his efforts have been in vain so far.

Fans have seemingly been frustrated with Ten Hag as the club fails to produce positive results on a consecutive basis.

They were knocked out of the Champions League after losing 1-0 in their final group game last year, ending their hopes of winning a European trophy this season.

However, Ten Hag has guided the team into the fourth round of the FA Cup after a convincing 2-0 win over Wigan.

Man United legend Roy Keane with the squad’s recent performances and believes the Dutch manager will get the sack soon.

Keane said: “No, not really. I think that’s the problem with United, you know what you’re going to get when you turn up.

“The manager there mentions the ‘project’ – it probably means he’ll be gone in the next few months. This dreaded word ‘project’. No, I didn’t see it tonight with United and I’ve not seen it for the last few months. But, again, they’re in the next round and it’s an easy draw the next time round, but you need a better level of performance. And the chances they made tonight, you always expect more.”
