Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Set To Be Handed Manchester United Job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be named the permanent Manchester United manager this week, according to reports.

The Norwegian was an interim appointment following the removal of Jose Mourinho from the managerial post in December. Since then Solskjaer has turned the tide in favour of the Red Devils and a string of good results has lifted the mood at the club.

A top four finish had looked to be a distant dream but currently, they are just two points adrift of fourth placed Arsenal and the possibility of finishing the season on a high is very bright at this moment.

United also kept their European hopes alive after knocking down Paris Saint Germain in the round of 16. A number of players with the likes of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof have backed his appointment and now it seems the interim manager is about to be handed what he stated as a dream job for him.

United are entitled to pay a compensation fee to Molde, the club Solskjaer had been managing before joining United. An announcement this week could boost the morale of the players as a number of difficult fixtures are in line for the Red Devils.
