Paul Pogba Is Likely To Remain At Manchester United After COVID-19 Pandemic

The latest round of reports suggest that Paul Pogba might just end up staying at Manchester United.

Football is going through a financial crisis and we can expect the transfer market to succumb to the circumstances this summer as well. That means not a whole lot of money being splashed around even by top tier clubs.

Pogba returned to Old Trafford for £89m and he is bound to cost as much if not more for a transfer out of there. Real Madrid were thought to be heavy favourites but there have been little to no movement from the Spanish giants recently.

Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague said, “Real Madrid I don’t think have Paul Pogba as a priority. Paul Pogba has suggested both, that he wants to go and he wants to stay. So he’s playing his cards but at the moment I do feel that a player like him would be better serviced to be at Manchester United where he will be the leader. It’s not a good time to leave I don’t think and I believe that they’re going to convince him to stay with a new contract.

“I know that the coaching staff at Manchester United feel that Pogba is a good leader, perhaps not so much when things are going wrong. But when they are going right, and you’ve got to hope, for Manchester United fans anyway, that the finances are in the right place to at least be able to get a stable team, improving with two or three players, meaning he has the chance to shine.”

Fans thought that the arrival of Bruno Fernandes definitely meant Pogba will be leaving Manchester this summer. But many believe that two can coexist in an attacking setup with a midfield pivot behind them like Fred or Nemanja Matic.
