Jose Mourinho has no plans to send Marcus Rashford on loan this summer

The Forward has been linked with a loan move in recent weeks

Marcus Rashford burst on to the scene for Manchester United in 2016 as he marked his debut for the club by scoring two goals against Midtjylland in the second leg of the Europa League. He even scored two goals against Arsenal in his Premier League debut.

Since then he has been ever present for the Premier League giants and has established himself as one of most talented youngsters in the world.

Since Jose Mourinho took over the charge of Red Devils in 2016, The 20 year old has featured in 102 of the club’s 117 competitive games, as both a starter and a substitute, more than any other Manchester United player.

The England International has been in good form this season but has found his first team opportunities to be somewhat restricted under Mourinho this term, starting only 16 games in the Premier League this season. Since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January, he has been mostly used as a substitute.

This led to speculations that the Portuguese manager could send the forward on loan this summer in order to get more first team football minutes.

When it was suggested to the manager that the player could be loaned out next season to gain more experience, Jose was understandably adamant that particular theory has no grounds.

“No,” the boss asserted, when pressed on any benefits of loaning Rashford out as quoted by Football365. “What does he need to do to impress me? He impresses me. That’s the reason why he was selected for every match of the season, absolutely every match of the season and that’s why he played in so many of them, so he doesn’t need to leave to play. He doesn’t need anything.”
