Ole Gunnar Solskjaer To Meet With Manchester United Chief Executive Ed Woodward To Discuss Transfer Plans

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to meet with Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward to discuss possible transfer dealings for the month of January.

Former manager Jose Mourinho repeatedly pointed out Woodward’s failure to bring in new players as United couldn’t manage to land a central defender last summer.

But with Solskjaer taking the helm, the caretaker manager already made it clear he would like to have a direct say in the transfer decisions. The former Red Devil has had a great start to his new innings as he guided the team to four consecutive wins and is likely to be sanctioned a modest transfer budget to do the needful.

Solskjaer said, “I am sure they have got plans for this transfer window.

“The club has probably had a plan since the summer and the year before.

“The structure of the club is phenomenal so I am sure they have got their targets.

“I am here to voice my opinion on that and I am sure we will sit down, me and Ed, if they have got anything in the pipeline.

“I am here now to work with the ones that I have got. They have all performed and as long as they perform, they should always be given a chance. That is my job – to improve the team and individuals.”
