Paulo Dybala is capable of playing as a second striker, as a number 10 and as a right-winger. The question is, what exactly do Manchester United need him for?
Some would say he is the like-to-like replacement for Lukaku. However, in the current roster at Old Trafford, Solskjaer already has two strikers in Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who can be deployed in that role. Further, they have Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong to play on the flanks if and when necessary.
Martial, especially, could prove to be more ferocious when played as a number 9 striker. The Frenchman is a natural finisher and would only bloom if deployed as the main spearhead of the team. All in all, Manchester United already have a solution for Romelu Lukaku in their midst.
