Erik ten Hag urges squad to fight back after shameful defeat by West Ham.

The Red Devils witnessed their 13th defeat of the campaign after they were beaten by two late goals by the Hammers.

They have now dropped to eighth in the league standings and have not scored in four consecutive games.

Jarred Bowen broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute and Mohammed Kudus’ goal six minutes later sealed the game for David Moyes’ men.

Manager Erik Ten Hag believes his team were better on the pitch but missed a few crucial chances.

The Dutchman has urged the squad to stay unified as the crisis mounts in the coming weeks.

“We have issues,” United’s manager said. “We have many setbacks, injuries, etc. But the players on the pitch are good enough to win games. It is about getting into the box. Make sure you are there. Have the willingness to arrive there and to score a goal.”

“We didn’t score the goal. We needed the first goal. We were controlling the game and didn’t give West Ham anything. We created three good chances and and didn’t take them. One moment of switching off and we are down and losing the game.”
