Gary Neville backs Maguire to turnaround his career at Man United

Harry Maguire should regain some confidence after the World Cup.

The Man United captain has started all three games for England in the World Cup in Qatar.

He has struggled for game time under Erik ten Hag at United and played only 141 minutes in the Premier League this season.

He has lost his place at Man United but this tournament could turn things around for the 29-year-old defender.

“United is a very unforgiving place. I know that from being there for 20 years. If you just don’t get it right, and if something’s not right, that place can eat you alive, it really can.

“And Harry’s just getting that at this moment in time, but I think he’ll come through it at United.

“I don’t think Marcus Rashford or Harry Maguire, when they come out of this tournament, will feel fazed anymore, or lacking in confidence anymore.

“I went through it [poor form] at the age of 23, 24.

“But I came out the other side of it and felt sort of bulletproof ever since, and that’s what I think Harry and Marcus will feel when they go back to United.”
