Alexander Isak would thrive at Manchester United.

The Swedish striker has a bright start to his Newcastle United career scoring six goals in 11 Premier League appearances.

He joined the Magpies last summer from Real Sociedad in a deal worth £63million deal.

Although he had a slow start due to his injuries, he is now starting to show his true potential under Eddie Howe.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Isak would have been a perfect fit for Manchester United.

Carragher said on Monday Night Football: “I love him. I love watching him play. I mean Manchester United need a centre forward and you look at him, I think he’d actually be fantastic for Manchester United.

“They could have got him at the start of the season, but for me, since seeing him in his first appearance at Anfield he looked outstanding, he looked electric.

“Highlighting his body shape, he doesn’t just press the goalkeeper, it goes this side and this leads to the goal. Anybody that tells you now that centre forward play is all about scoring goals is just living in a dream world – this is what centre forwards have to do.”
