Manchester United have been charged by the FA for failing to control their players.

The Man United players have been charged with improper conduct for surrounding the referee in their FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham.

The charges are related to Man United players surrounding referee Chris Kavanagh as they appealed for a penalty after Willian’s hand on the goalline.

Fulham’s manager Marco Silva, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Willian were sent off following the VAR’s decision to award United a penalty.

FA confirmed earlier this week that both Mitrovic and Silva has been charged and Mitrovic will face a longer ban for pushing the referee.

The Red Devils have until Monday 27 March to respond to the charge.

A statement from the FA read: “Manchester United FC has been charged after its players surrounded a match official during the 71st minute of The FA Cup tie against Fulham FC on Sunday 19 March.

“It’s alleged that Manchester United FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or do not behave in a way which is improper. Manchester United FC has until Monday 27 March to respond.”
