Man United have no plans to let Ronaldo leave this summer

Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Manchester United this season.

There have been rumours circling around that the veteran forward has been offered to Chelsea but United have no intention to see him leave Old Trafford.

He had a successful season last year scoring 24 goals  in 39 appearances but collectively it wasn’t a great campaign for the Red Devils.

Dean Jones tells GivemeSport: “United have no plans at all to sell him. At the moment, he’s the focal point of their team and they intend for that to remain the case. They hope the signing of [Frenkie] De Jong will happen soon so that he can see the intent early in pre-season.

“Of course, his agents are sounding out other clubs, we know that, and it is true his name cropped up with Chelsea – but there’s no real movement with that. I can’t see him actually joining Chelsea.

“I’m in LA at the moment and actually people here are starting to wonder if this is his next destination. There’s a genuine buzz around it. They’ve got [Gareth] Bale, [Kylian] Mbappe was watching their match on Sunday, and they know there is intent to bring in more big names in the next year or two. So yeah, in LA they are half expecting that Ronaldo might end up in Hollywood soon.”
