According to reports, Manchester United are eager to sign Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez. Apparently, Manchester United want to bring in the Colombian winger to replace Alexis Sanchez who has been under-performing miserably this season so far.
Ever since Sanchez joined Manchester United from Arsenal, his performances have been disappointing. Despite Jose Mourinho giving him plenty of chances, the Chilean hasn’t fulfilled his potential. Mourinho has said that injuries have hampered Sanchez’s performances.
James Rodriguez’s performances with Bayern Munich have been a little over okay. He has netted three goals and has provided an assist in 8 Bundesliga matches. However, the Colombian is much more capable than that. He played a key role in Bayern winning the Bundesliga last season, netting 7 goals and assisting 11 in 23 league appearances.
It is also believed that the Colombian does not have a very good relationship with manager Niko Kovac. Hence, he may consider leaving the club. Rodriguez is currently on loan from Real Madrid which expires at the end of this season. Bayern also have an option to buy the winger for €42 million.
