Ryan Gigss was one of the most important players at United under Fergie and wants to channel one of the most important traits of his former boss.

Asked if scoring in what has generally become known as ‘Fergie time’ is a good sign, Wales boss Giggs said: “Yes, I’ve said that, as long as you’ve got a clean sheet.

“OK, it didn’t come of anything against Denmark but we scored late on – and now we have done it again. That’s a nice habit to have and that’s what I said to the players.

“Once you have that trait it doesn’t leave you. You know it, and the opposition know it as well, that you are a team that can score late.”

Asked about the squad’s fitness and injury issues ahead of the upcoming games, he said, “We’ve got a few bumps and bruises but then we have Friday and Saturday to prepare for the game.”

“Aaron’s injury is coming along nicely, we just have to monitor that. Everyone else is good.

“Ashley (Williams) and Paul Dummett needed a game, especially Ashley because he’s been in and out (at Stoke).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Instructs Manchester United To Go All Out For £65m Defender

According to Metro Sport, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Ed Woodward to go all out for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.

Manchester United have been on the defender’s trail for quite some time with their previous offers rejected by the Foxes.

However, they are back to scouting him for a potential move in the summer. The Red Devils are looking for a marquee signing to improve their vulnerable backline and Maguire understandably is at the top of their summer wishlist.

Leicester manager, Brendan Rodgers is already anticipating an approach from the Manchester outfit. The report claims that Ed Woodward and the rest of the United hierarchy have been waiting for Solskjaer’s final word on the potential transfer.

Maguire is expected to cost around £65m in the current market. He signed a contract with the Foxes recently which is bound to keep him at the King Power Stadium till the summer of 2023.

A move to Old Trafford would see his salary of £140,000-per-week get doubled if the transfer ends up getting finalized.

He has made 27 appearances this season while also collecting 3 goals. The England international has jumped into the spotlight with his consistent performances this past season and also during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Marcus Rashford has left the England squad as the Forward is yet to recover from an injury.

The Manchester United forward has been suffering from an ankle problem since the 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League. He did feature in the FA Cup quarter final against Wolves but has failed to recover in time and will miss England’s European qualifier against the Czech Republic on Friday.

The youngster has returned to United’s training base Carrington Ground and will continue his rehabilitation process with the assistance of the United medical team. Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Chelsea wide man Callum Hudson-Odoi are in contention to replace the United forward in the starting lineup.

England boss Gareth Southgate confirms the development. “We knew from a couple of days ago that Marcus wouldn’t be ready for tomorrow.

“It’s a great opportunity for the others. They’ve been exceptional in training. They look like they’ve been with us forever. We’re really excited. We’ve lost a lot of players but it’s an opportunity for others.

“Throughout the age groups [Sancho and Hudson-Odoi] have been very similar in their development. Jadon has obviously had more big-match experience at this point and he has been with us for a bit longer, but Callum has fitted in brilliantly. I won’t hesitate to start either of them in the game. They’re ready, they can play.”

Paul Pogba Reveals His Real Madrid Dream

Paul Pogba Reveals His Real Madrid Dream

Paul Pogba has teased Real Madrid with a sharp hint as the French midfielder insists he would love to play under Zinedine Zidane at Manchester United.

The Manchester United midfielder was linked with a big money transfer to Barcelona but chose to stay at the Old Trafford. The midfielder had encountered various difficulties due to his fractured relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho which had also affected his form.

But the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rebuilt the surroundings at the club and the 26 year old seems to have been benefitted by the manager’s offensive style.

Pogba has netted eight goals in top flight since the Norwegian took charge and has already registered his best tally in a single season. He does have a contract till 2021 and given the current scenario the club would be hoping for a long stay of the midfielder.

Pogba said, “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world

“There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.

“For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”

Paul Pogba believes Raheem Sterling is treated differently because of his skin colour and his performances and achievements are neglected and overlooked by the media.

“Sometimes it happens,” Pogba told Sky, when asked if he feels the media treat him, or Sterling, differently because of the colour of his skin. “I think Raheem Sterling, with all the stats from last year and everything he’s done – nobody talks about it like we should,” he said.

“He has ridiculous stats, he’s scored goals and made a hat-trick not long ago. He’s been top with City. What I’ve been seeing is he’s been criticised for houses and what I’ve been hearing things about, but nobody talks about what he’s been doing on the pitch.”

“Maybe if he was somebody else, it would be different. I always say racism in football shouldn’t happen, because football is a sport, a beautiful sport and makes people happy,” Pogba added.

“When somebody is doing a great job, he should deserve the same reward as somebody else who does the same job.”

Pogba himself is enjoying a rich vein of form after the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Alexis Sanchez Wants To Win A Trophy At Manchester United

Top five highest paid Manchester United players 2019 Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez is very keen to prove his worth for Manchester United and wants to win trophies at the club.

The Chilean international has been struggling to hit the ground hard as persistent injury problems have been a stumbling block in his development. The 30 year old has had an underwhelming United career since his much anticipated transfer from Arsenal in January 2018.

With just five goals under his belt, the former Barcelona forward has fallen down in the pecking order and the likes of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard are giving him a tough time.

Sanchez is likely to spend a brief time on the sidelines and the current international break could be of much help as the player is trying to get back to shape from a knee injury.

Sanchez said, “I want to keep showing my love for football. I know what I can do. I have belief in my ability.

“United are such an important club, not only in England but on a global level, and I would love to help bring a trophy to the supporters.”

“Obviously, I want to make the United fans really happy. I want to score goals. I want to bring them joy. I want to win silverware.

“When we lost last year’s FA Cup final to Chelsea, I was not happy. Not happy at all. In fact, I was sad because I just wanted to make our wonderful supporters happy.

“When I was younger, I liked United. I swear. As a small child I liked United, I really liked them and I want to show this and bring the people joy because, obviously, I want to win.”

Romelu Lukaku Set To Miss Belgium's European Qualifier Against Russia

Roberto Martinez has confirmed Romelu Lukaku will be unavailable for Belgium’s Euro qualifier against Russia as the forward is recuperating from a foot injury.

Lukaku didn’t feature in Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup and set to miss out Thursday’s qualifying match. The 25 year old has been the undisputed number nine for his country since Martinez took charge and also led the attack in last year’s World Cup.

United haven’t issued any update on his injury but the player could be fit in time to face Cyprus on Sunday. Martinez said, “The relationship with Manchester United is very close. The only thing that matters is Romelu [Lukaku] is fully fit.

“We want him fit but it has to be in the right way. We’ve been happy with his progress but at the minute he is still unavailable.

“He is a player that has not been discovered overnight. He has been scoring goals since 16. He is already the top goalscorers in the history of Belgium football. Goalscorers will go through good and bad spells but he is history in Belgium football.

“He has to be fully fit though like any other player. We wouldn’t take a risk with any player on the pitch.”

Paul Pogba Revealed PSG Players’ Reaction To Getting Knocked Out Of Champions League

Paul Pogba Revealed PSG Players's Reaction To Getting Knocked Out Of Champions League

Manchester United made history by making a two-goal comeback away from home to progress to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain were in high spirits after an opening leg 0-2 scoreline but they got completely outsmarted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men in the second tie.

Paul Pogba claims to know a thing or two about how the Ligue 1 side reacted to the getting knocked out of the tournament.

He said, “Yes, we talked about it a bit [with the PSG players]. Yes, they are disgusted, but it is behind all that, we laugh and it’s over.

“Maybe we lost confidence, maybe things went wrong. A lot of talking outside that we weren’t used to. I don’t like to talk about the past. I like to talk about the future because that’s what matters. We are better now and the results have been brilliant.”

Pogba, who was about to face off against Moldova for the France national team has lent out his support for the interim United boss, Solskjaer.

He further added, “Of course, we want him [Solskjaer] to stay. The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

“When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club. He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

“This gave us freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results we had before”

Paul Pogba Backs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Appointment As The Permanent Manchester United Manager

Paul Pogba Backs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Appointment As The Permanent Manchester United Manager

Paul Pogba has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as the permanent manager of Manchester United insisting he would love to see the Norwegian continue his role at the club.

It has been a roller coaster few months for Solskjaer who was given the charge to restore normalcy at the Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho had an awful start to his third season as United’s campaign was on the brink of collapsing and the Portuguese had to be sacked following United’s worst possible start to the season.

Top four had appeared to be a distant dream but under Solskjaer’s tutelage United have looked a completely different unit and are currently just two points adrift of the top four.

Pogba’s relationship with Mourinho hogged all the limelight as the World Cup winner seemed to have lost his focus. But Solskjaer has helped the player reinventing his form and since then the 26 year old has emerged as a key player.

Pogba said, “Of course we want him to stay.

“The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

“When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club.

“He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

“This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results that we had before.”

Scott McTominay has thanked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his development and the security of his future at Manchester United.

The youngster broke into the first team under former boss Jose Mourinho, one of the rare players to do so. However, under Ole, due to several key injuries, he has played an integral part in the team so far.

“There have been times when it’s been so, so tough, you’re playing out of position and you’re not quite sure exactly how you’re perceived and what your role is going forward,” McTominay told Sky Sports News.

“But now having played a run of games under Ole it’s been much better. We’ve had some amazing nights and big games as well. I just want to keep learning.”

Solskjaer’s impact has left United’s players “playing with a smile on your face and enjoying football”, according to McTominay, and he believes there has been a similar response in Scotland’s camp to McLeish’s arrival.

“Everyone’s got that family bond and wants to do well for each other,” he added.

McTominay is an United academy product and knows the game played in the Old Trafford style.
