Ole Solskjaer Enraged After PSG Defeat At Old Trafford

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the least bit pleased with his players and he showed it in the dressing room after Manchester United’s 0-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain last Tuesday.

Paul Pogba who was sent off early after collecting two yellow cards apparently smashed his dressing room in frustration. The Frenchman did, however, apologise to his teammates for his reactions on the pitch.

The Red Devils were on an unbeaten run of 11 games before going down to the Parisians on their own turf. A smiling figure at Old Trafford quickly turned into a raging bull when the side allowed the visitors to collect 2 easy away goals in the Champions League Round of 16 tie.

It was also said that Solskjaer reaction was somewhat reminiscent of a certain fatherly figure we all know at Old Trafford. The Norwegian had spent 15 years under Sir Alex Ferguson during which he was the victim of plenty of such dressing room rundowns.

A source told 90min, “[Solskjaer] told them that they tried to play the game as if it was a one-legged tie. He wanted them to remain patient and not to concede easy goals and they then went and conceded from a relatively easy set piece and everything just went downhill from there.”

“The players were so deflated after the game – they haven’t felt that bad since the time Mourinho was in charge. He tried to keep them optimistic about the second leg. He told them that they have to remain positive in football because anything can happen.”
