Anthony Martial slammed by Man United legend

Anthony Martial was expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.

The French forward has sustained six separate injuries in the 2022/23 campaign and has started only a handful of games last season.

The 27-year-old was tipped to become the next Thierry Henry but he could rarely turn himself into a reliable goalscorer even after working under five different managers during his time as a United player.

Martial has scored 88 times and provided 53 assists in 301 appearances across all competitions.

The 27-year-old has failed to hit the heights expected from him since his arrival in 2015 as inconsistent form, injuries and a lack of confidence have plagued his career.

Club legend Andy Cole has blasted the French international for his terrible record at Old Trafford.

“Martial has been at Manchester United for 8 years now and he hasn’t even scored 100 goals,” Cole blasted to BetFred. “It’s incredible. He is a centre-forward at Manchester United and he has played in some fantastic teams.

“His best performance in the league was 17 goals. He’s had more than enough time and opportunity to show United just how good he is and he unfortunately hasn’t been able to do so.”
