Dean Henderson has returned to Carrington early to continue his rehabilitation from injury.

The English goalkeeper spent the last campaign with Nottingham Forest on loan but didn’t have an option to make the deal permanent.

Henderson has not played since January due to a thigh strain and had surgery last month.

But the 26-year-old is convinced he will leave Old Trafford in summer who enjoyed a product spell with Nottingham Forest.

Man United will look for a £30million fee for Henderson as Forest have reportedly informed the Englishman of their intention to sign him on a permanent deal.

Journalist Ryan Taylor believes the goalkeeper situation is a problem for Erik ten Hag.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m expecting him to join Forest, although there hasn’t been too much movement on that front yet.

“I think it’s pretty much related to the De Gea situation. Obviously, we’re all in the dark at the moment as to what’s going on with De Gea.

“If De Gea does go and someone like Onana is going to cost £60million, Manchester United might want to keep hold of him for the time being, just until they find a resolution.

“Whether that means Dean Henderson stays, I don’t know. But I would expect him to leave the club.”
