Erik ten Hag has given some concerning updates on Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez.

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro are expected to be out until the end of this year according to manager Erik ten Hag.

Martinez is recovering from his foot injury whereas Casemiro sustained a hamstring injury against Newcastle United last week.

The duo could miss up to 10 games in all competitions and Ten Hag will have a huge selection dilemma in the next few weeks.

“I expect some back but – for instance Casemiro and Martinez – they are really strong injuries and I don’t expect them back before Christmas,” Ten Hag told reporters.

“I have some time schedules [on the others], but it’s always difficult to predict that because they can get setbacks during the rehab period, so I’m always holding back on some issue.”

The Dutch manager also confirmed that Harry Maguire will also be available after he suffered a head injury.

“We followed all the protocols after the game so he’s ready,” the 53-year-old said. “He was fine in the game [and] played very well.”

Marcus Rashford is also expected to return after the missing the weekend game against Fulham.

“[He’s] 100 per cent [ready],” added the Dutchman. “Rashy missed one game with a small knock.”
