Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that he was not guilty of the charges FA put on him.

Following Manchester United’s match against Newcastle last month, Mourinho looked at the cameras and said something in Portuguese. FA charged him for using abusive language before Mourinho appealed.

FA dropped the charges on Mourinho on Wednesday. Mourinho said that he was happy of being cleared of the charges.

He said, “The reason why I asked the club and the lawyers to appeal was because I was 100 per cent that I was not guilty of these charges. But you never know how it ends. Yes I am pleased but I know I have to respect the process and I have to wait for what is going to happen next.

But I only appeal if I feel I am not guilty. I don’t appeal to lose my time or to make other people lose time.”
