Manchester United legend believes Jose Mourinho is the right man for the club

He has called for Unity at Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho was appointed as Manchester United manager back in 2016, taking over the charge from Louis Van Gaal. He guided the team to win League and Europa League, which ensured their return to the Champions League.

The Red Devils finished second in the Premier League behind Manchester City last season, their highest ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. They also reached the FA Cup final but were beaten by Chelsea.

The manager wanted quality additions during this summer transfer window after signing the likes of Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba etc in the the past transfer windows. Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant joined the squad this summer.

But the the former Blues manager wanted more signings, especially a right sided winger and an experienced centre-back. But the club failed failed to sign anyone before the transfer deadline.

The Premier League giants didn’t have a good start in the Premier League this season. After winning the opener against Leicester City, they have lost two consecutive games against Brighton and Tottenham.

The manager has come under a lot of fire for the two defeats and there has been reports of trouble behind the scenes.

United legend Ryan Giggs believes Mourinho is the right man to manage the club. He has called for Unity at Old Trafford and feels they need to put a run of positive results if they are to mount a realistic challenge on the league title.

Giggs is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying as quoted by Sports Mole: “Manchester United have got a fantastic manager already there. The club are going through a tough time but you’ve got to come through those tough times.

“I don’t see where Manchester United go after Jose Mourinho. I think they’ve got the right man and they should stick with him. The club, the players and the fans should stick together.”
