Manchester United is a professional football club based in Manchester, England, that competes in the Premier League. Founded in 1878, the club shifted to Old Trafford in 1910 and since then the Red Devils have been conducting all their home matches at this stadium.

Bryan Robson
The longest serving captain at Manchester United till now. Robson was handed the armband in 1982 by then manager Ron Atkinson and the influential midfielder went on to hold on to that captaincy till 1994.
Despite Liverpool’s dominance on the English soil Robson led the Red Devils to two FA Cup titles 1983 and 1985. The decorated midfielder started a revolution at the club and the arrival of Sir Alex Ferguson saw Robson reaching the pinnacle point of his career.
United’s long wait for a top flight title ended as Robson guided the Red Devils to two consecutive titles in 1993 and 1994.
Roy Keane
Perhaps the most decorated and most controversial Manchester United captain ever in the club history.
Keane replaced Eric Cantona as the captain of this famous club. The midfielder was known for his hard hitting tackles and fierce commitment to the game.
His famous tunnel outburst with Arsenal counterpart Patrick Vieira was one of the most talked about incidents. Moulded in Alex Ferguson’s vision Keane was the manager’s preferred choice in the midfield.
Keane was central to United’s brilliant treble back in the 1998-99 season. Following his horrific injury marred season in 1997-98, the midfielder came back brilliantly as the Red Devils dominated the domestic circuit.
The Irish midfielder’s most defining moment was in the Champions League semifinal against Juventus when he made a challenge knowing it would end his chances of being at the Nou Camp in the Champions League final.
The fearless midfielder also guided United to three Premier League titles.
