Manchester United to bid for Brazilian ace

The player’s club are bracing themselves for the bid

Manchester United are looking to bolster their squad in the transfer window after an underwhelming campaign this season, not winning a single silverware.

Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his forward line this summer as he wants someone to liven up his side’s attack next season, who were the lowest scoring team in the top 4 last season.

The Portuguese manager has prioritized the signing of Chelsea ace Willian, as the squad lack a natural right flank player. He is a big admirer of the Brazilian and wanted to sign him last summer.

The club also inquired about him during the January transfer window but the Blues were reluctant to sell him, despite the player being not a regular starter for them.

He joined the London side from from Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported fee of £30 million in 2013. The Winger has been one of the most constant players for them in the last three years.

The Brazili International was a crucial player for them in both their Premier League winning campaign, 2014/2015 and 2016/2017. He was their stand out player in the 2015/2016 campaign, when the club under performed and finished outside the top 4.

He may not dazzle as much as his more fanciful teammates at club or national team level likes of Eden Hazard and Neymar, but rare is the game where he doesn’t display obvious effort, determination, and commitment to the cause.

But the 29 year old was used sparingly last season by Antonio Conte and mostly came on as a substitute. Though the campaign was his best ever tally with 13 goals and 12 assists in 55 appearances and and was one of the standout players, as the club finished 5th in the Premier League.

The player was frustrated with the lack of regular football last term and admitted to finding life on the bench difficult. He has been heavily linked with a exit this summer with Barcelona in addition to the Red Devils interested in him.

Chelsea are bracing themselves for a mega Manchester United bid after turning down Barcelona’s £50m approach for Willian according to Sky Sports.
