The teenager has joined Rangers on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year old joins Rangers on a six-month loan just a year after moving to Old Trafford.

Diallo has made nine appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions and scored one goal.

He was on course to join Feyenoord on a season-long loan but a thigh injury in training stalled that move.

This is a straight loan deal with no option or obligation to sign the winger on a permanent deal.

Diallo said on Sky Sports: “I am delighted to join Rangers until the end of the season.

“It is fantastic for me at this stage of my career to have the opportunity to come to such a big club that is challenging on a number of fronts and will give me some excellent opportunities to test myself in many environments.

“I look forward to training with my teammates for the first-time tomorrow and to meeting the fans for the first time at Ross County on Saturday.”

Anthony Martial joined Sevilla on loan until the end of this season.

The Frenchman joined the Red Devils back in the summer of 2015 and has been a monumental figure during his spell.

In the last two seasons, Martial has struggled for form and lost his place in the starting line-up.

He decided to move to Spain to gain more game-time in his professional career.

“What has convinced me to come is the contact with the sporting director and the coach who showed me that they wanted me here,” Martial said at his presentation as carried by Marca.

“I wanted to come here to play more and that’s why I’ve come, to show what I can do at Sevilla. I’ve been training very hard recently and I hope to soon work with my teammates and help them achieve their goals in La Liga and the Europa League.

“I know Lucas [Ocampos] and Jules [Kounde] very well and I hope to be able to help them, they’ve really welcomed me. I’m coming to a great club in Spain and I hope to help them with the goals they have for the rest of the season.

“We’re very well placed [in the fight for La Liga] because we’re second. Other big clubs are going to try to win La Liga but we have to be consistent and do everything possible to achieve our goal. At the moment I’m here for five months but the future is unknown. We’ll see, but at the moment it’ll be these five months.”

Man United and Sevilla agree over Anthony Martial loan move

Man United and Sevilla agree over Anthony Martial loan move

Martial has just one goal to his name from 11 appearances this term.

Manchester United and Sevilla have reportedly struck an agreement over a loan deal for Anthony Martial. He is struggling to get enough time with United and he wants to move to another club during the January transfer window to enhance his game.

Sevilla were originally reported to be the frontrunners for Martial’s signing. The Spanish giants were thought to have pulled the plug on a potential move due to his wages.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says that a deal has been reached for the Frenchman to spend the remainder of the 2021-22 season on loan under Julen Lopetegui.

Romano also adds that Sevilla will fork out the entirety of Martial’s £150k-a-week wages during his time at the club, and Man United will pocket £5m for the loan.

The 26-year-old has just one goal to his name from 11 appearances this term and came off the bench as a late substitute in the weekend’s 1-0 win over West Ham.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly made a decision on his favoured transfer destination when his contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer.

The French international is due to become a free agent and has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs, including PSG, Juventus, and Barcelona.

Various sources in England and Spain now indicate Pogba is set on a transfer to Real Madrid, with a Manchester United insider telling CaughtOffside that many inside the club believe a deal is already in place with an unknown party.

Pogba’s departure from Real Madrid might be good news for Liverpool, who have been linked with a surprise approach for Los Blancos prodigy Eduardo Camavinga.

Camavinga seemed like a tremendous prospect at his old club Rennes, and it’s not surprise that Liverpool is still interested in him.

The French wonderkid only went to Madrid in the summer, but he has failed to make an impression at the Bernabeu, casting doubt on his future.

If Pogba joins Real, it is almost certain that Camavinga will go, and Liverpool are ready to pounce. More or less the die seems cast and Paul Pogba is going to move out of Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick was delighted for Marcus Rashford following his dramatic late winner against West Ham United in the Premier League.

At Old Trafford, the Red Devils faced a difficult battle against the Hammers. Neither team appeared likely to score until the last seconds, when Rashford scored with a tap-in at the far post.

United have briefly climbed into fourth place in the league rankings as a result of the win. Rangnick lauded the club graduate after the game, saying he is one of the best attackers in the country.

The German manager was impressed with his exploits against the Hammers and believes that the 24-year-old can now find consistency after gaining confidence by scoring in consecutive league games

He said via Manchester Evening News: “He’s one of the top strikers in England. He’s an England international who regularly played in the European Championship, we know the qualities he has.”

“He has almost everything a modern striker needs. He’s got the pace, skills, he’s got the size and physicality of a striker and in the end, it’s all about confidence for strikers.

Rashford had a difficult game against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month, in which he made many questionable decisions before being substituted.

Due to an injury, he was unable to play in the following game and has since sat on the bench. Rashford has lately scored against Brentford and West Ham, proving that the selection was beneficial.

Yesterday’s winner was simple, but he was in the right place at the right time to secure three crucial points for the club. Hopefully, he can keep the momentum going after the interval.

United’s next competitive match will be against Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the FA Cup on February 4. Rashford, who has scored in previous cameo outings, could be a strong candidate for the starting spot.

Ralf Rangnick lays out some areas where Diogo Dalot can improve.

The Portuguese defender was handed the Man of the Match for his performance in the 3-1 win over Brentford on Wednesday.

Dalot is expected to play against the Hammers as Aaron Wan-Bissaka is still recovering from his illness.

Rangnick lauded the defender for his abilities going forward and also laid out the areas where he should improve.

“Offensively, he has a lot of assets,” said Rangnick of Dalot.

“He did well (against Brentford). He is somebody who can deliver crosses from the wing, he is also able to take on players in one on one situations.

“The areas where he can still improve is obviously in his defensive work. He is not much of a defensive full-back, but more offensive. This is normal, there are quite a lot of full-backs in other clubs where it is the same.

“Quite a few of those formerly played as wingers, and so far with the developments since I’ve been here with Diogo and Alex Telles, I am happy. They get more gametime right now, so I am happy to have those two players available.

“Offensively, both of them have their strengths and their assets but defensively, there is still some space for improvement.”

Ralf Rangnick believes De Gea is one of the ‘best’ in his position

Ralf Rangnick believes De Gea is one of the 'best' in his position

David De Gea has put stellar performances this season.

The Spaniard has been at the club for a decade now since making his move from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has been phenomenal over those years.

In the past few seasons, he was struggling a lot with form and was making easy mistakes due to his lack of concentration and competition from Dean Henderson pushing for a starting role.

In this 2021/22 campaign, De Gea seems to be back to his best self making out-of-the-world saves and winning matches for his team.

Manager Ralf Rangnick has labelled the Spaniard as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

“Yes, we were fortunate to be level. We have to be honest,” Rangnick said to Sky Sports. “Without David and his brilliant saves, it would’ve been difficult to have had a clean sheet by half-time.

“We weren’t strong enough in the centre of the pitch and we were losing almost every 50-50 situation. We were too nervous on the ball and the opponents were extremely aggressive and brave in pressing us.”

“David has been doing that the last couple of weeks – brilliant saves in first half. He is one of the best keepers in the world, I would say.”

Ralf Rangnick credits improved second-half performance for Manchester United’s win over Brentford

According to the club’s official website, Ralf Rangnick feels Manchester United’s Premier League match against Brentford was a game of two halves.

The Red Devils laboured in the first half against an invigorated Bees team that looked up for the game. While we may have gone into halftime with a one-goal lead due to Anthony Elanga, the performance was far from satisfactory.

Rangnick agrees that modifications were required at halftime to correct the situation. It appeared to have worked, as the Red Devils displayed greater determination and skill in the second half. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford each scored to lead the Red Devils to a 3-1 victory.

“Obviously we had to change a few things and the first half we were not good in almost all aspects of the game – sloppy passing, not strong enough in the 50/50 situations, and we gave away almost every second ball.” said the united boss.

The manager of the Red Devils feels his team’s urgency in the second half made a difference. Man United shut down Brentford deep in their own half and appeared more tactically adept after the interval. They performed a better job of shutting passing lanes and taking up the proper positions on the counterattack.

Rangnick went on to laud two Manchester United players for their contributions to the victory. David de Gea and Scott McTominay were both outstanding on the occasion.

In the first half, the Spanish goalkeeper kept Brentford at bay. He seemed to have recovered his best self, and long may it last. Meanwhile, McTominay returned to the starting lineup and demonstrated the leadership and enthusiasm he provides to the middle of the field.

The win was Man United’s 300th away victory in the Premier League.

Anthony Martial is expected to leave Old Trafford by the end of this season.

The 26-year old has urged his desire to leave Man United due to lack of consistent playing time at the club.

He currently has received offers from Newcastle and Tottenham but the French international would like to make a move away from England.

The Red Devils want a loan fee and full wage covered by anyone who decides to sign the former Monaco player.

Manager Ralf Rangnick earlier said that Martial didn’t travel with the squad ahead of the Aston Villa encounter on Saturday.

The German said: “Yes, he didn’t want to be in the squad. He would have been in the squad normally but he didn’t want to and that’s the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday.”

To which Martial denied that he refused to sit on the bench in the Aston Villa draw.

“I will never refuse to play a match for Man United,” he said late on Saturday night. “I’ve been here for seven years and I never disrespected and I never will disrespect the club and the fans.”

Bruno Fernandes sends message to squad to learn from Villa draw

Man United witnessed a frustrating draw against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils were leading with two goals thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ contribution in the first-half.

Villan Jacob Ramsey scored a late goal after Bruno Fernandes scored his second of the game before Philippe Coutinho scored on his debut leveling the scoreline.

Fernandes admits that the squad should learn from their sloppy performances in order to secure a top-four spot this year.

“I think when we played well was the moments that we played more compact, more calm, with clear ideas about what we are doing and everyone was following the ideas,” the Portuguese told MUTV.

“That’s why I think the first 30 minutes was really good. After, the game started to be a little bit more balanced for both sides.

“But still in the second half I think we come on in the second half doing well, doing the right decisions – wait when we have to wait, press when we have to press.

“As I said before, now it’s time to understand what we can do better and go to the next game and try to win. That will be another tough game.”
