Ole Solskjaer has not noticed Paul Pogba’s focus to be shifting after getting heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.

The Frenchman has racked up 14 goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances this season. He previously said the Galacticos were a dream club and most footballers wish to play there someday.

As a general standpoint, that is absolutely true and Madrid might be the ultimate destination point of most top stars. The club guarantees elite level pay along with the promise of winning trophies on a seasonal basis.

The glitz and glamour surrounding the Santiago Bernabeu attract a lot of world stars, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard potentially being one of them.

Addressing the rumour mill regarding Pogba, Solskjaer said, “There might be a campaign, there might be press, you never know what there is, but in my talks with Paul he’s always been positive.

“I don’t see a difference in him when I chat to him. He’s focused on performing and he’s a proud player. He always gives his best.”

“There have been different players in different periods that have made the difference,” said Solskjaer. It’s not just about one player. It’s not just about Paul.

“But he had his highest-ever output physically on Wednesday night. He’d never run as much in a United shirt. That was brilliant. The effort and attitude is there.”
