Paul Pogba dismisses links to Serie A giants

The midfielder insist that he is solely focused on World Cup

Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, on a five-year contract for a then-record for highest football transfer fee at £89.3 million. He left the club to join Juventus in 2012 for more game time, where he established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world.

The France International was pivotal for the team in his first season and helped the club to win the League cup and Europa League.

The 25 year old started this season off positively but was benched following a few poor performances. His form has often been questioned last season and was even criticized by Jose Mourinho.

Though the Frenchman responded with brilliant performances towards the end of the season and won the United’s Player of the month for April. He ended the season with 6 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

The midfielder still has been linked with a summer exit and some reports suggested that the Turin side are keen to bring him back this summer. He enjoyed a successful period with them from 2012-2016 and reached a champions league final with them.

Pogba has dismissed reports linking him with a return to Juventus from Manchester United . He insist that he is not thinking about a transfer and is solely focused on the World Cup.

“I am with the France squad, I don’t want to speak about the future of the club and all this,” he told reporters as quoted by Goal.

“Yes, I speak with Dybala, but whether I speak to Dybala or speak with (Samuel) Umtiti, who plays at Barcelona, it’s not there I will go and play there!”

He scored the winning goal in France’s opening game of the 2018 World Cup against Australia, as the game finished 2-1.
