Sir Jim Ratcliffe still in the race to buy Manchester United.

The Mancunian billionaire made an attempt to sign Chelsea when their takeover was handled by the Raine Grup.

Ratcliffe ensures Ineos remain firmly in the hunt for Manchester United and has already met the Glazers a couple of times.

Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim is expected to win the fight for the Red Devils after placing his fifth and final bid on June 7th.

It’s been more than a month and there is still no decision, there’s also a possibility of the Glazers not selling Manchester United.

“We obviously can’t say too much because we’ve signed an NDA and we respect that but there’s still a process and we’re in the process,” Ratcliffe said.

“We have a good offer – we’ve met the Glazers a couple of times and we had a good conversation but at the end of the day it’s their decision… we would still very much like to do it.

“I also believe we would do a good job and do it for the right reasons. We keep very focused on it.”
