Erik ten Hag has provided a worrying update on two first-team players.
Danish duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund has endured a minor hamstring injury last night.
The duo were taken off in United’s 1-0 win over Luton Town last afternoon and this will be a huge concern for the Dutch manager.
Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans and Casemiro are long-term absentees in the United squad right now.
United are entering a two-week international break but they will be hoping to have the duo available.
Erik ten Hag sounded concerned when he discussed about the duo post game.
“In this moment, I can’t tell anything about it because I don’t know,” Ten Hag said at his press conference, when asked about Hojlund’s issue.
“We do an assessment and we have to wait 24 hours for the conclusion. So we’ll give the medical team 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem.
You don’t want to lose any player and it is the same for Christian Eriksen, but this is also our season, so many injuries,” Ten Hag continued.
