Man United can't afford to keep Fred this summer

Man United midfielder Fred is expected to leave this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer.

Although he played in all but six games for United in the Premier League last season, his time with the Red Devils is closing to an end.

Rivals Fulham’s interest has been very well documented and there has also been interest from Saudi Arabia.

Man United are seeking £20m to part way with the experienced midfielder who had the best season with United last term.

Turkish giants Galatasaray has tabled an initial offer but United turn down as it didn’t match their valuation.

Fred has one year remaining on his contract and with the signing of Mason Mount, the Brazilian’s future at Old Trafford looks disheartening.

If United signs another midfielder this summer, Fred will be pushed further down the pecking order.
