1. Peter Schmeichel, Manchester United, 1991-99
Clean Sheets: 155
Perhaps the most decorated goal keeper to have ever donned the Manchester United jersey. Peter Schmeichel oversaw perhaps the most successful era in the Premier League.
The Dane helped United ending their 26 year wait as he guided the team to the top flight title in 1993. He also captained the side in the memorable 1999 Champions League final win over Bayern Munich as United went on to register the treble in that season.
Current Star:
David De Gea had an underwhelming season at Manchester United. The Spanish custodian was at fault for a number of costly mistakes which had an adverse effect on his form. The United number one also hasn’t signed a new contract and this upcoming season could be his last at the Old Trafford.
