Ole throws an open challenge to Pogba

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has challenged Pogba, the real Paul.

The French world cup winner has been underperforming for the Red Devils since he signed for them back in 2016. However, he has done well in the national team and that has drawn speculation that the player wants to move to a bigger club.

He had then been linked with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, and Barcelona but a move has not transpired yet. His agent Raiola has tried really hard but it is yet to go through.

However, the club has done well with their own transfers so far and they recently signed Bruno Fernandes. The midfielder has improved the team a lot and fans and pundits are now interested to watch them link up.

Ole has thrown Pogba a challenge, to get fit in time for the important clash versus Spurs and link up with this new look United team.

“Paul is one of the best midfielders in the world, so of course we expect him to gradually improve as he gets more and more game time,” he said.

“I don’t know if it’s 45 minutes this time, is it 60, is it… so gradually over these next few months we can work him up back to his best.

“Paul has had a very, very good career. Of course he is a World Cup winner and we want to have that leadership on the pitch as well.”

Manchester United Could Walk Away From Jadon Sancho

Manchester United Could Walk Away From Jadon Sancho

According to Simon Peach, Manchester United are trying to ramp up negotiations for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund have been holding strong on their asking price of over £100 million and that could be a deal-breaker.

United were prepared to drop the ball altogether for Bruno Fernandes to force Sporting’s hand. They are reportedly doing the same with BVB for Sancho. Will it work? Who can tell?

Simon Peach wrote on Twitter, “The question will probably be whether #mufc can make a good deal. They were willing to quit the negotiations with Sporting for Bruno Fernandes to get the right deal. I can imagine the same thing happening here.”

Sancho would no doubt, be an outstanding signing for Manchester United. They need more quality up front and he has that in plenty. Sancho can unlock Ole Solskjaer’s attack with his creativity, speed and eye for goal. He has wracked up a wonderful tally of 20 goals and 20 assists in 42 appearances this season.

Previously, there were rumours that Chelsea and Liverpool were also trying to sign him. All that has been put to rest by Timo Werner’s official announcement by Chelsea. The fact that Liverpool could afford to sign Werner means they won’t be able to match up Sancho’s asking price either. This leaves United in the clear to wrap up a deal but the question remains regarding Champions League qualification.

Rashford takes on UK government and wins!

Marcus Rashford is more Manchester United than Manchester United.

The club has been suffering an identity crisis ever since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson but now Rashford has shown what it takes to be a true United man and how humanity should ideally survive.

The England international has been campaigning to make free food available for the poor children in multiple ways and his latest petition was against the UK Government itself to make free food available for them over summer.

He had written: “1. When you wake up this morning and run your shower, take a second to think about parents who have had their water turned off during lockdown #maketheuturn.

“2. When you turn on your kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee think of those parents who have had to default on electricity bill payments just to make ends meet having lost their jobs during the pandemic #maketheuturn.

“3. And when you head to the fridge to grab the milk, stop and recognise that parents of at least 200,000 children across the country this morning are waking up to empty shelving.

“4. Recognise children around the country are this morning innocently questioning ‘why?’ 9 out of 30 children in any given classroom are today asking ‘why?’ ‘Why does our future not matter?’ #maketheuturn.”

And on Thursday, the UK PM’s office finally responded:

“Owing to the coronavirus pandemic the Prime Minister fully understands that children and parents face an entirely unprecedented situation over the summer.

“To reflect this we will be providing a Covid summer food fund, this will provide food vouchers over the six-week summer holiday period. This is a specific measure to reflect the unique circumstances of the pandemic. The scheme will not continue beyond the summer.”

Perhaps, the biggest goal Marcus has scored till date.

Giggs backs old friend against the Special One

Jose Mourinho’s return to the Premier League action will be against his former team.

Despite his charisma, Jose Mourinho is known to hold a grudge over his former relations that went south and clearly he has been unable to keep it on the low, according to the Athletic.

The Portuguese boss took a swipe at United’s current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about the fact that Ole may be out of his managerial depth at the club.

The Special one may not be wrong on a tactical level but in terms of team spirit and pride, Ole has done a far better job than Jose at Old Trafford.

Ole’s former teammate Ryan Giggs jumped to the defence of the current United boss and subtly had a dig back at Mourinho when questioned about his opinion on Jose’s alleged comment.

Giggs said, “They’re not only good players, but they look like they are good characters who want to play for United and maybe that was missing for a couple of years, so to get that back has been great.”

The tension is set to be rising ahead of the crucial top 4 clash between Spurs and United who are both chasing Champions League spots. Jose will have a full team back and so will United and it remains to be seen who comes out on top at the end of 90 minutes.

Marcus Rashford Urges Calls Out Government For Better Hunger Relief

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford calls for more attention on food schemes in the UK for low-income families.

Coming from a humble and low-income black family himself, Rashford knows how it’s like to survived it and become one of the lucky few to be a player for one of England’s top clubs. He made a post on social media, addressed directly to the government, urging them to create better food schemes for those who are going hungry in the pandemic.

“This is not about politics; this is about humanity,” Rashford said. “Looking at ourselves in the mirror and feeling like we did everything we could to protect those who can’t, for whatever reason or circumstance, protect themselves. Political affiliations aside, can we not all agree that no child should be going to bed hungry?

“Food poverty in England is a pandemic that could span generations if we don’t course-correct now.

“The Government has taken a ‘whatever it takes’ approach to the economy – I’m asking you today to extend that same thinking to protecting all vulnerable children across England.

“I encourage you to hear their pleas and find your humanity. Please reconsider your decision to cancel the food voucher scheme over the summer holiday period and guarantee the extension.

“This is England in 2020 and this is an issue that needs urgent assistance. Please, while the eyes of the nation are on you, make the U-turn and make protecting the lives of some of our most vulnerable a top priority.”

“Understand: without the kindness and generosity of the community I had around me, there wouldn’t be the Marcus Rashford you see today: a 22-year-old Black man lucky enough to make a career playing a game I love.

“As a Black man from a low-income family in Wythenshawe, Manchester, I could have been just another statistic. Instead, due to the selfless actions of my mum, my family, my neighbours, and my coaches, the only stats I’m associated with are goals, appearances and caps. I would be doing myself, my family, and my community an injustice if I didn’t stand here today with my voice and my platform and ask you for help.”

Fletcher On Pogba And Fernandes: “Somebody Might Have To Sacrifice”

Fletcher On Pogba And Fernandes:
Bildbyran

Former Manchester United player James Fletcher has pointed out that if Paul Pogba and new signing Bruno Fernandes play together – it’s going to need some changes.

He talks about some compromises that have to be made in the MUTV podcast if the two players are to be put together on the field.

“Without doubt, of course. Great players can come together,’” the ex-United midfielder told MUTV . “Listen: somebody might have to sacrifice a little bit of something – that’s part of being in a team, it’s not an individual sport.

“When you play with a certain midfield, whether it’s a midfield three, you adapt your game to complement each other. That’s what I had to do at United. I was in the team with lots of different midfielders, lots of combinations and, if a certain midfielder was playing, I would try to take up positions to allow him to benefit and he would do things to allow me to benefit.

“It’s all about being compatible and recognising the strengths of your fellow team-mates and how to get your best performance, but, ultimately, you might be sacrificing what you do best to allow someone else to excel, which helps the team win.”

Fletcher further talks about how he feels about Fernandes being at United.

“I think he’s been fantastic. His ability has been there for everyone to see. For me, it’s been his personality and his attitude,” Fletcher added.

“He tries things, he tries difficult passes but, when he gives it away, it’s his reaction after he does it. It’s fantastic, his hunger to try and get the ball back. He doesn’t throw his arms up in the air or sulk and moan.

“He’s bossing people on the pitch, he’s taking responsibility. He’s looked like the epitome of a Manchester United player. He wants to be there, he wants the ball, he demands the ball.

“Ability’s not enough. You need personality to play for Manchester United and he epitomises it.”

United likely to fail yet again in their pursuit for a Saul

United likely to fail yet again in their pursuit for a Saul

Manchester United was built on hard work and soul by Sir Alex Ferguson.

So when Ed Woodward tries to market that and waive the power of money in front of players now, it might work on some, but won’t on most.

And one of them today is Saul of Atletico Madrid.

He has been chased and is still being targeted by the club but the player is committed to Simeone and his team.

“I see things on Instagram or in newspapers which you publish, but I haven’t heard anything from any club,” Saul told Radio Marca.

“I’m focused on finishing this season, achieving the objective [of finishing in the top four] and then dreaming about the Champions League.

“I have a long-term contract, which I signed because I want to stay here. I don’t have any problem staying here because my family are here, it’s my home.

“People say, ‘come out and deny it’, but then if you deny it and something happens, you look bad.

“I just stick to playing football and what has to happen will happen, I’m just focused on achieving Atletico’s target, which is to be in the top four, and then try to get the most desired target of the season.”

Dele Alli To Miss Manchester United Clash Due To Joke Post On Virus

Dele Alli To Miss Manchester United Clash Due To Joke Post On Virus

Dele Alli will face a suspension regarding a post he made on social media – and won’t be able to play in the match against Manchester United in the Premier League return.

He put a video on Snapchat which seemed to be making fun of Asian man and making jokes about the virus spread – and this lead to the FA slapping on a suspension for one game. Alli has also been given a fine of £50,000.

Also, since he violated the FA Rule E3, he will be required to take an education course, conducted in person.

“In response to the FA decision, I would like to apologise again for any offence caused by my behaviour,” Alli said in a statement to the club’s website.

“It was an extremely poorly judged joke about a virus that has now affected us more than we could ever have imagined. I’m grateful that The FA has confirmed that my actions were not racist because I despise racism of any kind.

“We all need to be mindful of the words and actions we use and how they can be perceived by others.”

Jose Mourinho spoke for Alli regarding his post and defended him.

“Of course I spoke with him about that,” Tottenham head coach Mourinho said. “But for me it was quite an easy conversation because he was very sorry about, let’s say, the mistake,” said Mourinho.

“But it was never his intention to hurt, it was not his intention to offend. He immediately regretted it, he immediately recognised.

“For me that’s the best feeling that he can show, and to have to have the humility to apologise is remarkable, because sometimes young people make mistakes and they don’t realise they make the mistakes.”

“The last thing that Dele is, is anything connected with racism or disrespect.”

So it seems like it’s definitely an advantage for United before their match against Jose, with Alli out of the picture.

Manchester United Begin Talks With Bayern For Corentin Tolisso

Manchester United Begin Talks With Bayern For Corentin Tolisso

Corentin Tolisso has been backed to excel at Manchester United by former player, Rafael.

According to Mohamed Bouhafsi of French outlet RMC, “Manchester United have started discussions with the entourage of Bayern midfielder Corentin Tolisso. The 25-year-old has a price-tag of just €35m!”

Tolisso has very quickly dropped down the Bayern pecking order behind Leon Goretzka, Javi Martinez, Thiago and Joshua Kimmich. He will find it hard to break into Hansi Flick’s side even when fully fit. That means United can price him away with the promise of more playing time.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been looking at reinforcements for the summer, one of which would be to sign a deep midfielder to sit behind Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes. If Pogba were to leave, Tolisso could even feature in more advanced roles if needed. His former Lyon teammate, Rafael certainly thinks so.

The Brazilian defender gave a glowing recommendation on Tolisso, having shared the pitch with him in Ligue 1. He said, “One of best midfielder I play with, I think will be perfect for Machester United. Hope he goes there.”

United’s interest in Tolisso is only a part of their entire transfer strategy for the summer. Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish and Birmingham’s Jude Bellingham are all on their shortlist.

Solskjaer Wants Pogba At Number Ten With Bruno Playing Behind Him

Solskjaer Wants Pogba At Number Ten With Bruno Playing Behind Him

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has figure exactly how he wants to fit both Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in the Manchester United midfield.

In the Frenchman’s absence, Bruno has been allowed the creative freedom to roam forward right upon his arrival in January.

That has led to great success as fans very quickly became jubilant about the Portuguese’s signing. He gave the team more grit going forward, something which had gone missing without Pogba. Now that the latter is back to full fitness, the duo is tipped to unite in the Red Devils starting lineup once Premier League football returns.

Solskjaer said, “We have an exciting squad. Bruno coming in and making the impact he made was great for everyone, it was a boost for the club. Good players can always play together, so yes Paul and Bruno can certainly. We will find a good connection between them, we have discussed it as a coaching team.”

Fernandes himself has expressed a great desire to play alongside Pogba. He feels that his strengths will compliment that of Pogba’s instead of decline United’s defensive strengths. The Red Devils are hoping for their star duo to carry the team to Champions League football this season. Only Chelsea lay ahead in the table with a three-point gap.
